Jeena Raghavan’s work reflects the diverse cultural influences and experiences that have shaped her life. Born in England and raised in India from the age of six, she later moved to New York City to study at the Parsons School of Design, where she further developed her artistic practice. This international background informs much of her work, which often explores themes of identity, belonging, and self-reflection.

Her artistic journey began at a young age, with her first exhibition taking place in London at just 13 years old. This early experience, where she raised funds for charity through a series of paintings centered on the Indian deity Ganesha, set the stage for her continued exploration of art as both a personal and cultural expression.

Raghavan’s work is characterized by vibrant color palettes and intricate patterns, employing a figurative visual language combined with abstract layering techniques. Her paintings often draw on flora, fauna, and human instinct and emotion.

She has exhibited in New York City, Madrid, and India, and her work is part of private collections across the U.S., Europe, India, and Southeast Asia, including those of notable collectors and global patrons.

In 2025, her painting honoring mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan was acquired for Stanford University, where it is now part of the institution’s permanent collection. That same year, she was commissioned to create a portrait of tennis icons Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf, marking a major milestone in her international career.

Her work has been featured in leading publications including The Times of India, Barron’s, and others.
